It is a little, but that's fine. The cable doesn't need length because the brake/cable/bars all move together. I'll only need more length if I move the bars up a considerable amount, which I can't because the safety line on the stem isn't far away!
I currently work as a Technical Representative for Nikon Canada's Instrument Division. Recently finished up my Physics Masters Degree (still working on the thesis) studying Colloids at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. I like Comics, Cycling, and Yo-Yo's and sometimes I talk too much.

Spring 2009 was when I attempted to become more involved in cycling, and found out I had a lot to learn. Over the next few months between individual web research, being in the shop with my LBS guy, and discussing with others I began to learn more and more about bike types, accessories, maintenance and much more. The purpose of this blog is to share my experience as someone new to the sport/hobby so that they may learn something from my trials and tribulations or simply just enjoy reading of my exploits. Feedback and comments are encouraged!
Overall, I will be talking about general bicycle knowledge to get you started, and things I pick up along the way related to commuting, day trips, and fully loaded touring. I currently ride a Surly Long Haul Trucker touring bike, and a retrofitted Canadian Tire Raleigh all terrain bike for a beater (but mainly the first one).
I really do love that bar tape!
ReplyDeletehousing on the front brake cable looks a little short.
